When you draw with the Polyline, Pencil, Ellipse, Line or Rectangle tools, you create what we call centerline shapes. These shapes are formed by lines that run down the center.
Shapes you draw with centerline tools are different from those you draw with the Brush tool, which creates shapes with contour lines.
All lines you draw are composed from points. It takes at least two points to make a line. Centerline shapes require less memory than contour shapes because they require less points to construct.
